I am being increasingly asked to speak to agricultural interests and it makes we wonder about the value of doing so. Are farmers really interested in animal issues? Am I betraying animals by speaking to farmers? Do I have to moderate my message to meet the audience? Am I morally obliged to speak to farmers? Do my words have an impact?
I felt the interview went well. But so far I have only had feedback from sympathetic listeners. I will be very interested to hear what rural listeners thought of what I had to say. I will also be very interested to hear whether farmers buy and read my book. You never know!
