Secrecy rules the roost | theage.com.au
This well researched piece in The Age considers the issue of animals and their place in our society from a different perspective. Not only can we not see the animals that become food but it appears that we have limited access to information from statutory authorities who are supposed to monitor animal welfare on our behalf. In this article the emphasis is on the market monopoly of two large chicken producing famalies. Market monopoly is not an angle I have previously considered in my work but well worth a think.
